Why Wonder Club Explorers Works for Me

August 22, 2018

Exploring museums and gardens with children

Traditional scouting programs are great!  I look forward to when my child is age-eligible to participate in a wide variety of extra-curriculars.  Between existing family commitments and a busy work schedule, having open-ended options and freedom to schedule activities on my own terms has been a life saver and that’s why Wonder Club Explorers make great sense to me.

Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a working parent, a homeschooler, or a caregiver, Wonder Club Explorers offers all the flexibility to accommodate your circumstances.  You don’t have to join a program, attend meetings or participate in fundraising to wear a Wonder Club vest or earn a patch.  Rather, you and your child get to pick which patches to earn and which fields to plan your adventures.  It’s as simple as that!

As a youth, I used to enjoy the fun of “Choose Your Own Adventure” books.  To me, Wonder Club Explorers is a lot like those books.  With the freedom to pick and choose your path and patches, you too get to choose your own adventures!

At the end of the day, the beauty of Wonder Club Explorers is just that... no commitments, just patches!

Here’s to happy exploring!

Stay Curious,
XOXO

There is plenty of joy to be had while doing the patch activity but don’t forget to instill pride when celebrating the accomplishment of earning a patch.  It need not be elaborate, it can be simple as treating your child to an ice cream cone.

Picking Patches & Planning Adventures

I grew up in a coastal town so anytime we visit the grandparents we always plan a little beach time.  My son was very interested in the Tide Pool Investigator Patch so on our last visit we checked the tide calendar to see when the pools would be at low tide for optimum viewing of the rocky shore.
